Welcome to a symposium on the use of ICT and distance education methods in Higher Education. This theme will be discussed from various points of view with the aim of helping participants to establish a clearer idea about what ICT support for learning has achieved, and in which directions institutes of higher education aim to develop in the future. Speakers represent five Nordic countries and different opinions about how the use of technology affects adult learning in higher education. This Symposium is open for all. The target group is teachers and administrators in higher education, but these discussions should also be of interest to all who are interested in using technology to support adult learning.
